Our Volunteer Experience

Is designed for locals that have a passion for gardening and enjoy giving back to the amazing community that we live in. Our goal is to put small groups of like minded locals working together for an afternoon finished with an alfresco meal.

This is a first come first serve experience!

From June 16th to September 15th 2020

When: Tuesdays

Limited Spots available: 6 spots per week

Duration: 4 Hours - from 2 pm to 6 pm

Volunteers will work on garden activities around the farm, such as weeding, harvesting, irrigation, seeding and planting. Each volunteer will receive a task, will help assemble food bank boxes and harvest a veggie box to take home.

What we expect from you: This opportunity is open to everyone (over 18 years old), we just ask that you have a willingness to learn our way of doing things around the property, bring a good attitude and a positive outlook on life. 

What you can expect from us: We will be working together, everyone will receive an activity plan, a fresh harvested veggie box to take home and a wholesome farm-to-table meal.

What to bring:

- Clean and sanitized bag/box to collect your veggies

- Comfortable outdoor shoes to work in

- Your own water bottle

- Hat

- Sunscreen

-Your favorite cold beverage to consume after a satisfying day's work

In accordance with the health and safety guidelines set out by the provincial government of Ontario we will provide personal protective equipment  (gloves, masks and hand sanitizer available).
